El Jorongo looms fine wool capes, ponchos, shawls and ruanas in a variety of elegant styles for cool weather.  Our handloomed traditional Mexican rebozos (handwoven shawls) are woven in wool, acrilan, cotton and artisela.

This very lightweight, 100% fine wool ruana is handloomed in Multi-Stripes with hand-knotted fringe. It is open both in front and at the sides and can be belted if desired.
Measures 48" wide by 34" long plus 10" fringe.

Available in a variety of colors this 100% Wool Poncho Cape has a Mao collar with button front and a flattering oval cut. The tailored pockets are optional. Measures 45" wide by 37" long.

An elegant addition to your winter wardrobe. This Houndstooth Cape in 100% wool has hand carved pine buttons and is finished in black and white decorative trim. Measures 47" wide by 37" long in a style to fit any figure. Available in Natural Black (very dark brown, which is as black as a black sheep actually is) with Ivory only.

Handwoven Poncho in soft Bouclé yarn with fringe is triangular and can be worn two different ways: as shown at present and as shown on mouse over. Perfect for an afternoon out or cool evening.

Measures 18" on the short side by 30" on the long side measuring from neck with additional 4" fringe.

This 100% wool triangular Poncho in an eye-catching handknit with crocheted flowers and Border is warm and comfortable. The sides come to a convenient elbow length which allows for complete movement of the arms. The neck is crocheted with a sturdy drawstring to adjust the width.

A gorgeous hand woven rebozo, perfect for your Fiesta Mexicana in shining 100% Artisela, which is the artificial silk that many people mistake for real silk. It is hand woven with handknotted fringe and 2 lines of hand drawn work on either end. Just the right size at 24 inchs wide by 76 inches long plus 6 inches of fringe on either end.
