El Jorongo Custom Design Sweaters & Vests

All of El Jorongo's hANdMAdE® merino wool sweaters are individually handknit of the very finest Merino wool and are so soft that even babies and many people who are "allergic" to natural wool can wear them with pleasure. Our natural wool sweaters are made of the local Criollo wool which is washed and spun to retain its natural lanolin for warmth and water repellency, making them perfect for ski sweaters and for outdoor wear. We also handknit sweaters in a practical wool/acrylic blend that gives you the warmth of wool combined with machine washable acrylic. Our unique bomber jackets are handwoven and handknit in either Merino wool or Criollo wool.

In addition we handknit cardigan coats, ski sweaters, vests and vest coats, baby blankets and baby buntings and a wide array of ski hats, crocheted caps, wool hats, handknit gloves, wool socks, merino wool scarves and custom knitwear. The Greca Cardigan is handknit in 100% Merino wool with a warm Shawl Collar and side seam pockets. The body and sleeves are flat stitch with a handknit Greca pattern that resembles pine trees and both the Cardigan or the Pullover have a dropped shoulder. The Cardigan has large hardwood butttons. This unique jacket is handwoven on a loom in fine Merino Wool . The sleeves and collar are handknit for greater flexibility and it has two ample pockets. The tight weave serves as both a wind and rain breaker and makes it especially comfortable for colder weather.
