Empezamos a tejer este Jorongo en el año 2000 cuando nos invitaron a poner una exposición con uno de los telares y el teñido de la lana en el Museo de Pátzcuaro. El obrajero vió que este modelo que estaba en exibición traía un letrero de haber sido tejido hacia 150 años atrás y dijó que él también lo podría tejer. Lo seguimos tejiendo y teñiendo todos los colores desde entonces.

We began to weave this jorongo in the year 2000 when we were invited to present an exposition at the Pátzcuaro Museum of hand weaving on a loom and the hand dyeing of wool. When the weaver saw this model exibited with a sign that it was 150 years old; he said he could weave it, too and we have been dyeing all the colors and weaving it ever since then.
