The Rebozo de Bolita is famous for the fineness of the woven cotton. The weave is so tight and strong that the women of Cocucho use them to carry huge ceramic pots know as Cocuchas. The pattern is produced by dyeing the thread with a specific “tie-dye” technique to produce each distinctive pattern once woven. The long fringe is intricately knotted by hand.
